About Me!
Just a little bit about me and how I got here...
I was born and raised locally, in Rockaway, NJ. I graduated from Morris Knolls High School. Growing up I always wanted to be a police officer, so after high school I attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice. During my first semester at John Jay I took a criminal psychology class and fell in LOVE!! This first semester at college was also the FIRST time in my life I wasn't cheerleading (and oh boy did I MISS it!!) With that being said I decided to transfer schools to somewhere I could study Psychology and cheer. That is when I ended up at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. I graduated cum laude from Coastal with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. After Coastal, I decided to continue my education where I attended Centenary College. I graduated top of my class with my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and my NJ State School Counseling Certification. After graduating I worked at a local counseling center and as a paraprofessional, at our very own Nixon Elementary School. Later that school year I began coaching cheerleading at Roxbury High School. While working at Nixon and RHS, I found out Franklin School was hiring a school counselor (MY DREAM JOB!) Needless to say, I applied, I interviewed, and now I am here and as happy as can be to working with such AMAZING staff and students!!! |
